Don’t give up on Direct Mail Marketing

Is direct mail dead? Has email completely taken over? It has been our experience that this is not the case. Below are five reasons why direct mail marketing is still enormously useful and not simply a marketing tactic of the past.

 

Brand awareness. A recent study shows that the percentage of consumers that open “most of” their mail is as much as 70% to 80%. This adds up to a lot of eyes out there just waiting to take a look at what you have to offer.

 

Personal connections. Direct mail allows you to make personal connections with your target market because it presents them with a tangible and personalized item that comes straight from your company to their mailbox.

 

Attention-grabbing ability. Unlike the standard email, direct mail gives you the ability to utilize a wide variety of creative designs intended to catch your audience’s eye.  

 

Less competition. Many marketers are actually operating under the impression that direct mail marketing is outdated and ineffective. As a result, they’re relying on email marketing to connect to consumers. While this has created a lot of clutter and distraction for email inboxes, it has also left consumers’ physical mailboxes free of such clutter.

  

When utilizing direct mail, remember that integration is the key to maximizing the effectiveness of any direct mail campaign.
